Abstract

This research aimed to measure the effects of 360 degree performance system on the business success of middle and upper level managers serving in 4 and 5 star hotels. For this purpose, descriptive screening model is used with middle and upper level managers, which is prepared according to a performance appraisal scale, to measure the influence of 360 degree performance system. Application field of this research is 160 four and five star hotels in Istanbul province. Findings of research indicate that the 360 degree performance appraisal system is more effective on business success than the classical appraisal systems considering the evaluated dimensions which are leadership, task performance, adaptation to change, communication, human relations, creating output and employee training and development.
