Abstract

The term of human capital includes knowledge, skills and other values which labor has and is considered as one of the most important aspects in economical development. In both theoretical and ampirical studies, it is stressed to invest in human capital in order to increase economical efficiency. The aim of this study is by applying factor analysis on many determinants of human capital, to get fewer and definable meaningful variables and to analyse effects of these variables on human capital with using Prais-Winsten (PCSE) Panel Regression Method. In this study the 2000-2012 annual data was used, seperate analysis were made for 12 top middle income countries and 24 OECD countries. It is targetted to point out human capital determinants and difference in levels of effects of these two different country groups. According to the obtained results; in both groups of countries government spending, health spending and infrastructure spending, although a determinant of enhancing human capital
