The Ottoman literature is mainly focused on the poetry and this has caused old-new debate. In this context, Ottoman poetry has been the subject of debate for many years after the republic and the republic from the Reformation. Despite all the discussions, we see that the influence of Ottoman poetry is reflected on modern poetry in terms of form and content even until today. In other words, the main source of modern poets are the two major branch of the Turkish literature, that are Ottoman and folk poetry tradition.
