Abstract

The article analyses issues relating to the importance of contractual determination of wages and perspectives of establishment of compensation institutions. The article articulates that the system of contractual determination of wages negotiated directly between employers and employees will prompt the development and enhancement of social partnership as well as increase of guarantees for each employee in the area of wage payments. The Author comes to a conclusion that in order to boost a responsible approach of employees to their work obligations and increase their work-related motivation, it would be expedient to amend the Labour Code of Azerbaijan Republic to ensure that it contains provisions enabling issuance of compensations to employees in case of loss of work in the form of Compensation institution and "Reserve Fund for Compensations".
