Abstract

This study aimed at determining primary school teachers’ strategies that they applied against undesired behavior in classroom and evaluating them against some variables. The research is a study of descriptive school survey. As a data collection tool “Strategies Against Undesired Behaviors Survey” which was prepared by the researcher by taking the expert views was used. The sample group of the research consists of primary school teachers who worked Çayeli district, Rize province in 2010-2011 academic year. In data analysis, frequency analyses in SPSS 13.0 program and chi square statistical operation for two variables were used. According to this analysis, it was determined that against the undesired student behaviors in classroom, most of the teachers used eye contact, asking questions aimed at problem, coming closer, touching, showing the correct behavior strategies.
