Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine prospective teachers' attitudes towards child rights in terms of some variables. The sample of the study is consisted of 135 prospective teachers who study in pedagojical formation program at İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. The research was conducted in the “İlişkisel Tarama” model. The tool that are used for data collection were “Personal Information Form” that is developed by the researcher and “Child Rights Attitude Scale” that was developed by Karaman- Kepenekçi (2006). At the end of the research, it was founded that the attitudes of prospective teachers towards child rights did not differ significantly in terms of age, marital status, type of university that are graduated, state of having any training on child rights, perception of the prospective teachers about Turkey’s sensitivity on child rights, perception of the prospective teachers that whether people behaved properly on their child rights when they were child, perception of th
