Abstract

As a result of increasing competition in the context of higher education, meeting the demands and expectations of students have become one of the priorities of higher education institutions. Schools of Foreign Languages at universities are the first step of university experience for the students, who come to university with a variety of expectations and ambitions. The interaction between these students and the instructors could influence their perceptions regarding the university. Therefore, students perceived images of instructors in accordance with their expectations from them could determine their perceptions of and attitudes towards university education. In addition, interaction between students and instructors is highly influential in learning a foreign language, and a positive image of instructors could feed a positive interaction process, thus leading to higher achievement in language learning.
