IDEOLOGICAL REFLECTIONS IN POLITICAL SPEECH: AN ANALYSIS ON ŞAFAK PAVEY’S PARLIAMENTARY SPEECH POLİTİK KONUŞMALARDA İDEOLOJİK YANSIMALAR: ŞAFAK PAVEY’İN MECLİS KONUŞMASI ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME
The problem of the clothes freedom in the public sphere has been discussed for a long time over the headscarf issue which couldn’t be resolved for many years in Turkey. The date 31 October 2013 was the beginning of a new era owing to a concrete step about these discussions. In this date the first time, four deputies with headscarves was participated in the General Assembly of TBMM. After the concrete step about clothes freedom, deputies from all groups at the parliament announced their opinion making parliamentary speeches. The most remarkable of these speeches was CHP deputy Şafak Pavey’s speech. Her speech took place in almost all publication institutions for days. The most important reason why this speech was preferred as sample is that this speech was effextiveness and reached such a wide audience.
