Abstract

In this study, the reasons for women why they are so less in high career positions and how women can be promoted to higher career positions are discussed. The sample of this research consists of eight women and nine men who are employing in higher positions in politics, at the universities and in business life, a total of 17 people. Data were collected with use of structured interview form which is developed by the researcher and consists of 21 questions. Data were analyzed with the help of descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that good communication skills, ambition, intelligence, hard working and talent are important factors for women for high positions but having children, “Old Boy’s Network” culture and women’s self consciously preferences are barriers for women for high positions.
