Abstract

The aim of this study is to is to determine the effect of teaching colour information by using materials on students' academic success in the visual arts (painting-business) curriculum in Private and public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. The study samples are Düzce High School 11st class students. Color information processed by using the two different teaching methods in Düzce High School 11 Classes’ Visual Arts courses. One of the selected experimental groups and one control group were determined by means of a neutral assignment. To ensure the objectivity of the research, it was kept as secret which group was experimental or control. Colour information was taught to experimental group by using materails, to control gruoup with classical methods. To determine the effect of teaching method on students’ success, experimental designs with control group pre-test, post-test was used.
