Abstract

The research was conducted to find out the opinions about how the teachers’ dissent affects the teacher, school and administration’s opinions. General scanning model is applied. The research population consisted of teachers working in the public secondary schools located in the city center of Mardin in the 2011-2012 academic year. Randomly selected 191 teachers are included in the research sample. The data was collected through a questionnaire of 26 items taken from “Dissent’s Affects” section of “Scale Of Organizational Dissent” developed by Özdemir (2010). The meaningfulness level was taken as ,05. The results derived from the datum are as following; administrator’s enforcement against dissenting teacher is mostly “reglementation” and rarely “charging teachers with works that are not suitable with teacher’s merits.” Related to dissent against administrators, they mostly complain about “insensitivity to their values” and rarely complain about “losing their power to decision-making
