Cooperatives as self-sufficient economic corporations play a crucial role to get better the socio-economic status of their share-holders and local people. In recent years, the small city and towns, whose commercial activities and population decreased due to migration, have also began to face with unemployment problem. Therefore, solutions are seeked for all these problems. Nowadays, since investors prefer to invest the regions that have invesment easement, cooperative corporations are going to become important. This study argues that cooperatives have to be in the areas that private sector doesn’t opperate, and thus places cooperatives into the centre of regional/local development..
