Abstract
This study aimed at providing an outline of the geomorphology of the Qusayr Plateau by discussing its geomorphological characteristics. To this end, the related literature was reviewed in detail, and the obtained findings were justified via various analyses and field studies. GIS techniques were used for creating and analyzing maps. It was concluded that the study area, which had polycyclic characteristics with a large variety of geographical formations and thus was a result of various morphological development stages and different factors and processes, had a topography going through a long and intermittent process. The phenomenon of time, starting with the accumulation of the first lithologic piling in the Mesozoic Era, continued with the formation of erosion surfaces representing various ages and periods.
